This jacket is Gore-Tex 3-Layer laminate with 100% welded seams which eliminates the need for stiching and seam tape. The shell material is Burton's own Storm-Lite 5.0-C which is extremely light and has the highest waterproof-breathable rating available from AK (20,000MM, 10,000G).
